Abstract

The research dealt with methods for measuring and analyzing rainfall data in the city of Berber. The Power Access Climate DATA website was used to download data from 1981 AD to 2022 AD. A statistical analysis of the data was conducted and the maximum rainfall value for each year was extracted using the Excel program, and then the appropriate probability distribution was determined using the Hyfran program. It was found that the appropriate probability distribution is the GEV distribution. The values of the return time results were found for times 5, 25, and 50, and the values were 23.7, 43.8, and 54.7, respectively. Then a monthly analysis was conducted, and the largest value was 52.73 mm in August, and an annual analysis was conducted, and the largest value was 100.2 mm in 1988 AD, and the annual average was 22.74 mm
