Abstract
This research aims to analyze, design, and implement a hospital service
management system as a single application serving three main roles: patient,
doctor, and admin. The system enables patients to browse departments and
doctors, view doctor profiles, book appointments, and track their bookings.
Doctors can manage schedules, view appointments, and update their profiles
under controlled permissions. Admin users can manage accounts and roles,
create doctor profiles and link them to user accounts, and manage
departments and schedules.
Our team used Flutter to develop the user interface and adopted Firebase
services (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) as the backend. Firestore
Security Rules were configured to protect sensitive data and enforce role
based access control. In addition, an anti-conflict appointment strategy was
applied by structuring appointment records in a way that reduces double
booking for the same doctor and time slot.
The results showed that the system efficiently meets the basic requirements,
with the activation of the real-time notification system to alert users to the
status of reservations, thus ensuring accurate follow-up, improving image
handling, and extending medical record capabilities.
