Abstract

Abstract : This project aims to design and develop an automated spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel for quantity takeoff of a multi-storey building in an accurate and systematic manner. The model is based on inputting essential structural data for elements such as foundations, columns, beams, and slabs, in order to calculate quantities of concrete, reinforcement steel, and formwork automatically. The spreadsheet helps reduce calculation errors and save time compared to traditional manual methods, while also allowing easy updates when design inputs are modified. In addition, the project provides well-organized Bills of Quantities (BOQ) that can be directly used for cost estimation and resource management during construction. The significance of this project lies in providing a practical tool that enhances the efficiency and accuracy of quantity surveying processes, supporting better cost control and decision-making in multi-storey building projects.
