Abstract

Abstract: Construction projects are of a special nature that is affected by many factors, making them vulnerable to risks as a result of the multiple stages of their preparation and the length of their implementation period. The process of risk analysis and management is one of the effective and fruitful methods used in the management of construction projects in order to increase the chances of successfully completing the project. To achieve this, information from reliable sources and previous studies were collected, and then a questionnaire was prepared that included 41 questions. The questionnaire was distributed to 40 practicing engineers, 38 of whom responded, and the response rate of the participants was 95%. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to measure the stability of the resolution and to identify the stability of the variables, and it was found that the reliability coefficient and the self-reliance coefficient were values of (0.75) and (0.847), respectively. These results were analyzed by the SPSS program, and then these results were interpreted according to the theoretical framework. The results of the research resulting from the two sections showed that the highest percentage of risks is represented in the weakness of the control agencies at a rate of (64.1%), and that the lowest percentage of risks is represented in the absence of capable companies with a percentage of ( 30.8%).
