Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding crystalline material on the
mechanical and physical properties of concrete by investigating the
behavior of concrete with different percentages of the additive (2%, 3%,
.
.
and 4%) compared to a reference mix
A series of tests were conducted on the constituent materials to ensure
their compliance with standard specifications. Tests on fresh concrete
included the slump test to determine workability. In addition, tests on
hardened concrete were carried out, including compressive strength tests at
different ages (7, 28, and 90 days) and water absorption tests to assess
.
concrete permeability
The results showed that the addition of crystalline material significantly
improved compressive strength and reduced water absorption, especially at
2% and 3% replacement levels. The 3% ratio was found to be the optimum
percentage, providing the best performance in terms of strength and
durability. However, the 4% addition resulted in a slight reduction in some
properties
Based on these findings, the use of crystalline material is recommended to
enhance concrete properties, particularly in structures exposed to moisture
and aggressive environments, while maintaining the optimal dosage
